A Brief History of St Peter’s

The congregation formed in 2007 and held its first service in November 2007 with The Right Rev. John Guernsey, Bishop, in attendance.  After a short time meeting at the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins, the congregation met at the Loveland Community Church, and then at Resthaven Funeral Home north of Loveland.  The parish now meets in its own church building at 4044 Duffield Avenue in Loveland.

Worshippers come to St Peter’s from Larimer, Weld, and Boulder counties.

Many of St Peter’s members live in Fort Collins, where the church started in 2007, and at one time we sought to build there. Now, as illustrated above, our Loveland location is a convenient hub for all of Northern Colorado, drawing worshippers from Larimer, Weld, and Boulder counties. Apparently, this was God’s plan all along because it’s working out very well.
